Zanussi Washing machine drum upcycled

Agh the washing machine drum, I am a sentimental old fool. This drum was the beating heart of a Zannusi . We had it for 12/ 15 year's. Two call outs for calcification in the pipes . In a soft water area it might still be in use . It was the bearings  In the end that went . So it felt good making this piece , like a thank you to an inanimate object . Well it is a robot and I'm sure it won't be long g before Alexa is on our washing machines!!! If you have e not seen the episode of the simpsons will H.A.L  in charge of homers futuristic House I highly recommend . 

So a bit of work here too, removing the drum cover ! Ooh la la .

Angle grinder again . Got some stainless steel chain and a new electrical trial light fitting and bulb. Had to reinforce e the base with a metal plate . Voila the lamp can be lowered down if needed . Thecable is 1.2 metres long. More chain length also if needed to hand on a higher ceiling. I Intend to make a tall lamp stand next time. I am happy with the outcome it is similar to morro on lamp shades light dispersal.
