About

well I suppose we are all products of our parents and as I get older I realise there is more truth in that than I would like to admit.  My Dad built a Holiday home from the remnants of the Royal Hotel in Bray , Handy  if you know a Demolition Contractor

.Not without some free child labour in the mix. So from a young  age we were thought the value of recycling.  That along with a love and respect of Nature is what set me on this journey I suppose.          I studied Fine Art in Dunlaoghaire which gave me An introduction to working in metal,  specifically scrap metal .Cost was the main reason but then I stumbled on Assemblidge Essentially using pre shaped pieces of metal like a jigsaw puzzle to shape the pieces you want to establish . So I am a bit of a War baby and collect whatever scrap metal I can for future works of Art .All in moderation  of course . That's goes for Timber and Stone as well.

There is a fine line to be drawn between collecting materials and hoarding, you have to be disciplined unless you are lucky enough

To own about Ten Acres of land ! For me my shed space is limitedxand just a out manageable.  I must upgrade this photo I left these two trick bikes into a friend of mine to be restored and sold on. Beach combing is one of my favourite passtimes either in wexford or kerry . There is a constant flow of flotsam and jetsam appearing on the shore, Timber, barrels, rope , Still waiting to find  suitcase full of money but you never know. My best finds are A solid oack Column and some very old hardwood  ribs from a  ship wreck .

This beach  in co kerry is fantastic,  you never know  what the North Altantic will deposit on the shore , its so beautiful even the cattle have a paddle.
